Top 5 Mobile Vendors as of Q3 2010

According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), mobile vendors shipped 340.5 million units in 3Q 2010 compared to 297.1 million units in the third quarter of 2009. The worldwide mobile phone market grew 14.6% in the third quarter of 2010. Nokia is still maintaining is top position with a 32.4% market share and has shipped 110.4 million units . On a year over year change LG Electronics had a drastic fall in market share where as Apple has nearly doubled its market share and now is in 4th position. Rim has fallen to 5th position and Sony Ericsson, which shipped 10.4 million units in 3Q 2010, is no longer in the Top 5 list for the first time since the Tracker was conceived in 2004.
