Facebook for BlackBerry v1.9 has been released through the BlackBerry Beta Zone. If you are not a member you can sign up and try this new Facebook application.
So what is new in Facebook for BlackBerry v1.9?
Dedicated Inbox: You can now view your Facebook messages. Infact you can defined how and where do you want to view your Facebook messages. The application gives you two ways to view messages:

The Facebook Messages view lets you see only your Facebook messages in one inbox.

If you prefer to have all of your messages in one place you can set up your Facebook messages to appear within your BlackBerry Messages inbox.
Over the air sync is now enabled for messages, which includes read, unread and deleted messages. This means that all your message status stay in sync with the Web.
Facebook Search: With the new search function, you can easily search for people and pages. You will also be able to send friends request and like pages directly from the application after the search. This search is also integrated with the universal search function on the phone. So when you just use the universal search function, it will pull results from your Facebook account as well.
 
 
Friends List, Page List and Updated Navigation Bars: Page list now shows in list form. Friends list now includes profile photos of your friends. Navigation bar has been updated with direct links to your profile page, Facebook search and messages.
