HTC is one of the big players when it comes to Android. Seeing the number of tablets revealed at CES 2011 earlier this year, and this is no surprise, HTC will need to have something up their sleeves when the Motorola Xoom and the BlackBerry Playbook launch in March-April of 2011.
According to DigiTimes, HTC is expected to announce its Android 2.3 Gingerbread tablet called the HTC Flyer in March for the US market. This tablet is expected to receive the Honeycomb 3.0 upgrade when OS is made available. The Flyer is also expected to hit other market starting Q2 2011. This tablet is basically looking like a bigger version of the Desire HD on launch having a 7"inch display size, till it gets upgraded to Honeycomb 3.0.
Rumors also say that two additional tablets would be announced by HTC around June. No word on any specifications yet. 2011 is looking as the year of the tablets.
