My Mood:
Unhappy Does anybody else have this problem?

I have a Sony Ericsson TM 506, Ver. 4.7
From what I can tell, my phone is in the same family as the Z780.

Problem:
It keeps turning off by itself I pretty much leave my phone on 24/7 but it's really starting to annoy me when I go to use it and it's "off".

I've had my phone for a year and it's been doing it for the past month.
Any ideas?

Re: Does anybody else have this problem?

I had similar problem with my w880.

Two possibilities. One the battery back side has become loose, try opening and cleaning the batter connectors. My w880 used to go off only with little motion movement, i had to fix the battery tightly behind after cleaning the connectors every now and then.

Second, software problem, see if there is a software update.

Re: Does anybody else have this problem?

As gseth mentions it's probably the battery connectors. Had the same problem with my daughter's old K610. A thorough clean (and a firmware update) took care of that. ;)
Also beware of how you carry the phone. If you keep it in a tight jeans pocket you could risk bending it, resulting in the battery loosing connection and the phone "turning" off.
